RSV News - Feb 2001
Thanks to our sponsors we are running in the

National "Mille" Cup

We now have a race prepped, 1999 version to commence testing.
To run an RSV Mille in the televised National "Mille" Cup you must have.................
Formula tyres and sizes (Dunlop 207 GP's, 120/70 & 180/55 ONLY), Dunlop Wets allowed.
The logo you need to be in the race !Standard Bike with factory exhaust and ignition Chip Set only (£250 +VAT)
Open to any Mille of any age except the SP version (well it wouldn't be fair !)
UK Bikes only, no Imports allowed.

All the Graphics and logos are by Tim at DESIGN-A-COVER (see links page). Thanks Tim.
Gotta do a one make series !
The body work has all been replaced by Vimori Racing Products, (see links page)
fantastically light, and bolted straight on with no fuss ! Superb.
Looks better than it did, don't you think ???

I've just received the Formula Pipe and Chip set and I have to say I'm a bit puzzled.
Which is the best ??
Which of these pipes is the New Titanium Aprilia Racing all singing all dancing Pipe ??
Nope, try again !

it's the one on the Right ! The other is the Promotive Pipe I already have,
60mm opening as opposed to the 45mm opening of the Aprilia Race Can. How can that be any good ??
Chips with everything. The matching Chip looks nice, it better work hard !

122bhp at the Wheel, looks Sick !Judging by the Dyno Curve
we have plenty to do if we are
going to be competitive !
God it looks sick, what can it be ?

>>>Fuel ?

>>>Ignition ?

>>>Plugs?

>>>Fuel Filter?

>>>Air Filter ?

>>>Clutch ?

>>>All of the above ??

We have a few jobs on, the plugs are shot, the chain and sprocket set are beyond this world and the bodywork all needs replacing with lightweight racing kit.
Talon are cutting a new range of sprockets to suit the Mille, and will be supplying the team a range of ratios, front and back just as soon as they have tooled up. SOON!
Worn Out, Hooked and shite. This is the front Sprocket we took off.
As you can see, there weren't a lot of choices in 1999.
They had to cut and weld two sprockets together YUCK !
The rear sprocket was OK, but the front must have been eating chains alive for months !
Must get in touch with TALON for some new ones !
(see links page)

Brilliant for a Road Bike. The dash works brilliantly !
There is a Lap Counter and Max Speed recorder built in amongst other things.
Anyone need instructions ???

we'll freshen all the fuel system and ignition then run it up on the dyno again !
122bhp at the back wheel just won't do !
